Wrecking Balm Ingredient List

Consists mainly of a large assortment of skin pigment faders, skin moisturizers, skin conditioners, sun screens, exfoliate scrubs, cleansers, anti-aging creams, liquids and powders, skin toners/astringents, fragrance, makeup foundation/concealer, water, and Salicylic Acidic which they refer to as a “Chemical Cell Renewal Stimulus” because it causes the skin cells of the Epidermis (the top layer of skin) to shed faster.

There is no ingredient on this list that has the power to penetrate the skin to the depth of a tattoo located in the dermis, or second layer of skin, where all professional tattoos are located. A casual glance indicates WreckingBalm uses a large variety of common everyday ingredients used in skin fade products, facial makeup, lotions and scrubs.

It is the exfoliates in combination with what they call the “FDA – approved mechanical hand held medical device”, in other words skin sander, that is actually doing the work of removing skin that will eventually (months to years) fade the tattoo with only a slim chance of actually removing much tattoo pigment.

The best use for this product is for home made tattoos using inferior pigments not very deeply implanted in the skin.

The chance of removing a professionally made tattoo with this product is remote.

The numbers by each ingredient indicates the number of other cosmetic manufacturers using the ingredient and for the type product they use it in.

Skin Lightening Ingredients:

Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit (Indian Gooseberry) Extract is a rich anti-oxidant botanical known for skin-lightening qualities that combat hyperpigmentation. Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit provides the skin with very high doses of antioxidants that convert toxins and degrade proteins that cause excessive skin pigmentation.

Chemical Cell Renewal Stimulus:

Salicylic acid is a key ingredient in many skin-care products for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, calluses, corns, keratosis pilaris, and warts. It works by causing the cells of the epidermis to shed more readily, preventing pores from clogging up, and allowing room for new cell growth.
